Tesla has started releasing its first video of the third Row of a Model Y, but it doesn’t even show a person sitting in the back seat.
Tesla Model Y option for seven seats in the third row
Last week, we reported on Tesla Opening orders are for Y Standard Range RWD and 7-seat third-row option.
Tesla has promised to release seven Model Y seats since its launch in March 2019.
It surprised many that the third row would be a good fit for a small SUV, but Tesla said it was workable.
Production of the Model Y began in early 2020, but the automaker has focused on other versions of its electric SUV.
Now, Tesla has started producing a new seven-seat Model Y variant, which costs $ 3,000, and the automaker has included some features that come with the new interior:
- Third row seats for two people
- Easy entry to the third grade
- USB-C charging for the third row
- Sliding second row seats with adjustable backs
- The second and third rows fold flat for maximum cargo storage
- Flat trunk electronic folding operations
We caught A few glimpses of the Y third-row in prototypes Before, but that was more than a year ago, and Tesla didn’t reveal new images until recently.
The automaker released Some pictures Last week, but now we’re getting a full video.
Video of the third row of the Tesla Model Y.
With the few images Tesla released, we can say that the automaker has refreshed the design of the third row since its launch in 2019.
Now with a new video, we’re taking a better look at the new seven-seater option of the best-selling electric SUV.
Tesla hasn’t posted the video on its official channels yet, but some have reported that Tesla representatives are sharing the video with potential buyers of the option (via Reddit):
It appears to be an official Tesla video for Model Y manufacturer support page. Once the new version starts shipping.
While the video gives us the best look at the Y’s third row yet, Tesla didn’t show anyone sitting in the third row like they did in the second row.
This comes as many fans have pointed out that it appears exceptionally small in the back – making it hard to believe Tesla’s original claim that it can fit “7 adults”.
Originally, Tesla’s website stated that the seven-seat option would fit “7 adults,” but the car manufacturer has now updated its website to write “7 people.”
This is perhaps more accurate because the third grade is definitely more kid-friendly – making it a great choice for families with children.
