Rams expects to play Aaron Donald and Cooper’s Cobb versus the Packers

The Green Bay Packers will likely receive no injury break when the Los Angeles Rams arrive at Lambeau Stadium in their NFC Divisions preliminary round match on Saturday.

Rams’ trainer Sean McVeigh He said Sunday He expects defensive line player Aaron Donald and broad future Cooper Cobb to play against the Packers despite new injuries.

The Rams upset the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday, but both Donald (ribs) and Cobb (knee) left the match and didn’t come back. McVeigh described both of them as daily and expressed confidence in their ability to play against the Packers in the next round of qualifiers.

Donald injured his ribs while trying to deal with Russell Wilson in the second half. Cobb faltered at the end of the play late in the fourth quarter.

Donald has been named NFL’s Most Valuable Defensive Player twice a year and is also the most disturbed defensive midfielder in the game. Donald, the first All-Pro team for the sixth consecutive season, produced 13.5 bags, 27 quarterbacks and four forced failures in 16 matches in 2020.

Cobb, the leading receiver for Rams, has earned 92 assists for 974 yards and three touchdowns this season.

The Rams have yet to decide who will play quarterback on Saturday. McVay has to choose between Jared Gove, who has a thumb injury, and John Wolford, who knocked out Saturday’s win with a stinging kick. While the quarterback situation looks dicey, the Rams would get a big boost to go to Lambo Stadium if Donald and Cope could play.

It is unclear how the elements in Green Bay – including hail – will affect the rams’ infection status.

The Rams will not publish the injury report until later this week. Official injuries for the game will not be available until Friday.
