Nintendo acquires next-level games from developer Luigi’s Mansion 3

Nintendo announced that it will acquire Next Level Games for developer Luigi’s Mansion 3, and you can read the acquisition notice at Nintendo site, Stating that the deal is expected to end on March 1, 2021. According to Nintendo, the acquisition “will facilitate an expected improvement in development speed and quality by enabling close communication and employee exchange with the Nintendo development team”.Nintendo has been working with the Canadian developer for a long time now, and their relationship extends to the release of the Gamecube Super Mario Strikers title in 2005, which was developed by Next Level Games.

Since then, the studio has worked on Mario Strikers Charged and Punch-Out !! For the Nintendo Wii, as well as Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon and Metroid Prime: Federation Force for Nintendo 3DS.
