Kate Hudson was thinking about her extended family early in the new year.
On Friday’s episode of Sibling Revelry podcast With older brother Oliver Hudson, 44, the 41-year-old actress talks about estranged father Bill Hudson, and how “it’d be nice to communicate a little” with their half-siblings.
Do you know what I’ve been thinking lately? ”Kate said,“ Dad ”.
“I was thinking – I was thinking a lot about my father. I was thinking of our sisters, with whom we do not spend any time, and our brother. Brothers. We have four siblings with whom we do not spend any time.”
Bill, 71, was married to Kate and Oliver’s mother, Goldie Hawn, from 1976-1982. He later married actress Cindy Williams, with whom he had two children, daughter Emily, and son Zachary. He also has a daughter, Lalanya, from another relationship.
Hawn, 75, and Kurt Russell, 69, have been together since 1983 and share one son, White Russell, 34. Kurt also has a son, Boston, 40, with former Season Hubley.
“I was thinking about how everyone is getting old,” Kate said Friday. “I just had this moment, it would be nice to communicate a little, especially with my sisters.
And she continued, “We have been talking a lot about sibling and troubled relationships.” “And we sit here like, We have the best family, we are so amazing. However, we never acknowledge the fact that we have four more siblings – four. So I’ve been thinking a lot about the Hudsons. I think it’s important that we get in touch with all of our siblings and maybe even connect with them a little bit.” “.
In a 2016 interview on the “Howard Stern Show” Kate said of Bell and the past, “I really realize whatever these issues are, it’s just something that he has to live with and it must be painful for him, so I forgive him.”
